Do you make coffee while others sleep? This coffee maker has a rather loud "alert tone" -- 5 beeps that sound when the coffee finishes brewing.
In my house, this can be heard in the upstairs bedrooms with doors closed. It sounds like an alarm clock. It wakes people up.
There is no way to disable it -- I called Cuisinart and asked.
